A thousand for years flute

A Thousand Years For Flute

I never used to think much of this song, and would not have imagined I would ever be bothering to pick up the music and find a backing track in order to play along with it. But here I am: A Thousand Years For Flute.  I have heard this song by Christina Perri and David Hodges in numerous contexts over the years, including as part of the Yoga based teaching that I do in gyms (yes-I am also a yoga instructor) as it was listed as one of the tracks for the class. But it never really came alive for me until I saw a youtube clip of The Piano Guys doing a cover of it. The sonorous sound of the cello swept me up amongst their natural setting for their film clip.

Well, I may not have the budget for a beautiful natural setting with multiple camera angles, but here is my flute cover of ‘A Thousand Years’ by Christina Perri and David Hodges.

You can find the sheet music and the backing track for this song here.
