Soothing Flute Music

August 16, 201910 Comments

If I had to choose between listening to fast paced flute music and soothing flute music, I’d always choose the latter. When I wrote this piece of music, I did not yet have a name for it, but felt it should somehow relate to nature.

When my 4 year old daughter heard me listening back to the recording one day, she came in and said “This music is nice mum. What’s it called?” I said I didn’t have a name for it yet, but asked “What do you think I should call it?” She said without hesitation “Flower rose meadow”. I liked it, but I dropped ‘flower’ and left it at Rose Meadow.

So, here it is: ‘Rose Meadow’. Have a listen below. If you would like to purchase the recording for this piece, you can do so here. The sheet music for this piece is available here.

What do you think? Do you think the title of this piece is appropriate for what it sounds like? Feel free to comment below and let me know. 🙂

Oh my my. I don’t know so much about music and flutes but listening to that video just gave me chills. I literally was tearing. Your daughter is very smart because she picked a very soothing name to this beauty. I am hoping you can do an audio so I can listen to it like a music. The rhythm is just perfect. Please make an audio.

My GOD was that beautiful! The title for the selection is perfect! I can listen to this while I study, do research, or get my treatments at the hospital it’s so calming.

How did you get the sound quality so crystal clear to come through the video with no echo or hollow sound? When the rose meadow is available for download please post to let us know. I just subbed to your channel to listen to more.

    Thanks for sharing

Thanks so much Shannon! Much appreciated. You can get the download from my shop here. In terms of the sound-I use music software called Logic Pro X to record into. It is a great program. The video was recorded seperate to the audio so the sound quality turns out better. Thanks so much for your kind words.

Wow, I typically have a short attention span but I listened to the entire thing. It was very nice to listen to & very soothing. It had a very original sound. I didn’t feel like I was listening to something that I’d heard before. I mean that in a good way! I actually enjoyed it so much that I went and subscribed to your YouTube channel. I am going to listen to your other song is on your YouTube channel too. I pretty much always prefer soothing music so I agree with what you said. Thank you! I don’t know what else to say but I really enjoyed the song.

It is a lovely piece. I can see it being perfect for day spas and massage studios. Have you written other music like this and considered putting an album together?

I love the way it ebbs and flows and your daughter chose a beautiful name for a beautiful piece. Well done and keep writing music, you are amazing!

Thank you Peter! I appreciate your encouragement. Yes I am slowly working on putting an album together. I have been a little unclear on what my ‘style’ is, and have hesitated moving forward, but I have written other music like this, so will keep going. You can check out other pieces in my shop here.

What a wonderful little story. I think it is a great compliment how your daughter responded. Children tend to be pretty honest in their opinions. As I listened I thought it to be a very beautiful piece of music as well. It is gentle, relaxing, and could be good for meditation. I think the name is appropriate and it connects you to a memory of your daughter. Good work and nice page.

Thank you Mark! Yes I was thinking along the lines of meditation too. Thanks for taking the time to listen. 🙂
