I do not offer makeup lessons (unless in the unlikely case I am unwell), as I have found it not to be educationally beneficial.

Instead I offer the following:

Where a lesson is missed due to student illness or other reason, students will be required to record the things they have been working and send the audio file via text or email (google drive works well for this) and I will give detailed feedback in return. This will help them build a greater awareness of their playing and spur some more ownership over their own mastery. Listening back to their own recording and giving themselves feedback in addition to my feedback will accelerate their progress, as opposed to often missing a whole week or two of practice because a lesson was missed for various reasons. My goal is to keep the momentum and progress going as well as encouraging more ownership on their part.
